Wie is Luk Luts?
Met een aangeboren alertheid voor schoonheid in de natuur,aangescherpt door zijn ervaring als zeer verdienstelijk pastelschilder en fotograaf, “door-grondt” Luk Luts de diverse steensoorten.
Het gamma strekt van Mergelzandsteen, via Diestiaanse ijzerzandsteen, Franse stenen over Belgische en Ierse arduin, de prachtige, maar delicate Noir de Mazy-stenen, naar de unieke Italiaanse marmer Bianco Statuario en de kleurrijke Zimbabwaanse steen: Opaal en Springstone.
De gefossieleerde boodschap of “in-druk” van de steenmassa verduidelijken of vrouwenbeelden bevrijden uit hun eeuwenoud stenen bolster, is zijn obsessie.
Luk Luts is de man die naast onderwijzer ook steen-wijzer werd. Niet enkel omdat hij de steen steeds beter aanvoelt en zo steenwijzer wordt, maar ook omdat hij ons in zijn persoonlijke stijl aanwijst wat hij in een steen ziet. Wie zijn werken eenmaal aanvoelt, zal ze steeds herkennen.

With an innate alertness to beauty in nature, sharpened by his experience as a very deserving pastel painter and photographer, Luk Luts "passes through" the various types of stone.

The range ranges from Mergel sandstone, via Diestian iron sandstone, French stones over Belgian and Irish bluestone, the beautiful but delicate Noir de Mazy stones, to the unique Italian marble Bianco Statuario and the colorful Zimbabwean stone: Opal and Springstone.
